We solicit authors to submit high-quality papers representing original results in all areas of advanced humanoid robotics, entertainment robotics, robotics education, autonomous minirobots, social robotics, computational intelligence and autonomous systems. For detailed topics of interest, please refer to the Call for Papers.
Authors are invited to submit the complete manuscripts in PDF format through the conference website. Submitted papers must describe original work not published elsewhere. Accepted papers must be presented at the conference by one of the authors to appear in the conference proceedings.
The contributed paper is to allow the Technical Program Committee to evaluate its suitability for inclusion in the conference. It is therefore important to describe precisely in the opening paragraph what is the new contribution reported in the manuscript. The text and supporting figures should clearly describe the specific results that have been achieved. The front page must contain the title of the paper, full name(s) and address(es) of the author(s) and the appropriate academic field(s).
The Congress proceedins will be published by Springer. Excellent papers among accepted papers will be published in the International Journal of Social Robotics. |
Please note the following indications before submitting a full paper;
Authors are required to submit their papers in PDF format, preferably with a resolution no less than 600 dpi. Papers should be in a 2-column format on 21cm x 29.7cm A4 size paper. The margins should be 2 cm on the sides, and 2.85 cm on the top and bottom. Text is to be typed single spaced in at least 10 point Times Roman (or a font closely resembling this type), with 12 point interline spacing. The first page of the paper, centered on the top below the top margin, should include the paper title, the authors' names, their affiliations and email addresses. Six pages are allowed for each paper, including figures and illustrations. The maximum page limit is up to 8 pages for the additional pages.
Invited Session proposals will be due on March 14, 2009. Interested organizers are encouraged to propose special sessions, which provide a forum for focused discussions on latest and innovative topics. Typically, an invited session consists of at least 5 papers. A proposal with the session title, list of corresponding authors with contact information and a brief statement of purpose of the session can be submitted to the Conference Secretarat. Invited papers must be submitted on the website until March 14, 2009 and will be undergoing the same review process.
Authors will be notified about the disposition of their papers by April 30, 2009. Final papers, reflecting any minor changes recommended by the reviewers, will be due by May 30, 2009. At least one of the authors each paper must register for the conference in order for the paper to be included in the conference proceedings. |
